Believers of God, my fellow warriors for Jesus Christ, realize that there are things that we do not deserve but God gives, anyways…GRACE
There are things that we should have happen to us, because of our sin, our disobedience, but God does not let them happen to us…MERCY
The key element in all this is appreciation for grace and mercy through the sanctification of our lives.
What do I mean exactly? I mean if you do not heed to The Word of God, if we do not do as God has commanded us to do, we run the risk of being obedient, just because of something we had to give up. This means, God will make us obey, one way or the other! In God, we are to be growing in His knowledge, reading His Word, doing His work, sinning less, being obedient without it costing us something. (Obedience by Sacrifice)
For instance, that car that you drive, you have always wanted and you finally got it, but now you are not as humble as you were before you got that car. Now you do not pick people up, you make yourself unavailable, you all of a sudden do not pray like you did before you got that car. You do not praise and worship as much, because you are always running in the car, washing it and your focus shifted to the car and your eyes turned from God, the one who gave you the car in the first place…something happens to you or the car and you suddenly get a revelation from God that you have been disobedient and ignoring His call for you to work in His ministry and be obedient.
So, God had to do something to show you His Glory, to show you that He is above all things and is to be obeyed because you are His child. Now, this car, for some it was a nice new car and for others it was a nice used car. Then there are others it was a piece of junk, but it got you from point A to B. God will force you to be obedient, if He has to force you into it, He will, but understand it is sacrificial obedience. He hopes that you will just obey Him. He hopes that we would see His marvelous works, His miracles, His blessings, and be satisfied enough to be obedient.
But, because we are warring inside between God’s Spirit and the enemy’s spirit, we are in turmoil and confusion, within the war, because we are disobedient and do not read His Word, in efforts to gain an understanding. We are simply playing games with the enemy without using the authority that God has given us. We are blinded by material things and we satisfy the flesh more than we nurture God’s Spirit within us. We are so blinded by social media and we have become a world that if you do not have many followers, you are not “liked” or “popular” or “adored.” We want to know more about celebrity status than we want to know about our status in God. Think on this.
Be obedient without God having to force us to. We decided to follow Christ. He is waiting on us to be obedient because of His inheritance and because of His deity. Ask for forgiveness and truly mean what you are saying. Draw closer to Him so we are not blinded by the enemy’s disguises. God is light. God requires RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Our God, Our Father, here we are. We know that You require more of us. We realize that we must turn from our wicked ways and follow you. We realize that there are some things in our lives that reek of sin, we have loved sin more than we have loved you. We are willing, Lord, to follow You. Teach us how to obey You. Thank you for Your WORD. Forgive us, cause Your face to shine on us. We are calling on You, Our Father, to fix us, clean us up. Create in us a clean heart and renew unto us the right Spirit. Thank you for grace. Thank you for mercy. We humble ourselves before You. We cannot make it without You. This prayer is signed, sealed, and delivered through Jesus The Christ, Amen.
Humility is an act of obedience. Servitude to God is an act of obedience. Loving your enemies is an act of obedience. Following His instructions and directions are an act of obedience. We choose disobedience and we choose obedience.
Today’s Scriptures:

You were not pleased with burnt offerings or other offerings for sin.
1 Peter 5:6 KJV | King James Version
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.

2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV | King James Version
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Psalm 51:7-15 GNT | King James Version
Create a pure heart in me, O God, and put a new and loyal spirit in me.
Do not banish me from your presence; do not take your holy spirit away from me.
Give me again the joy that comes from your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. Then I will teach sinners your commands, and they will turn back to you. Spare my life, O God, and save me, and I will gladly proclaim your righteousness. Help me to speak, Lord, and I will praise you.
Joshua 24:15(a) GW | Good News Translation
But if you don’t want to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve.
