~My Prayer~
As the day starts and I realize I’m in it,
I begin to think of how amazing You are, oh God, to me.
When the sun hits my face in the day and the moon blankets the nights while the stars adorn the sky,
I begin to know why you are awesome in splendor.
The wind from your rain satisfies my lungs.
As I have the activities of my limbs, the bones you gave me,
I’m awakened and more motivated to be better and do better as you commanded,
I’m determined to stand on righteousness while I see the promises you attached to me, before I was spoken into existence.
Oh what you paid for me I could never repay,
but I want to give you back all of me.
As life changes and I learn to adapt, to conquer, to climb, to persevere,
I am strengthen by your warm embrace, your ambiance fills my soul.
Someone smiles as I walk by and I can see you in them,
reminding me to keep my head up,
reminding me that the fight is one that is already won,
Oh if I just trust you the more,
Oh if I’d only concentrate on your greatness,
I’d see the provisions you made ahead of me,
Seeing the victories that didn’t pass me but were given to me by you.
I began to think of how amazing you are to me, oh God.
I don’t deserve your compassion, your concern for me,
But you overwhelm me with your loving-kindness and tender mercies,
You anointed me for your great cause.
If I rest in humility before you, If I remain teachable,
I know this race I will succeed!
If I honor you more, the more I will become alive!
The more I’m set free!
I see how amazing you are to me.
Thank you for the opportunity to worship you because
You are vital to my being.
I live, I move, I am,
because of who you are and what you did and what you do!
You allow me to get to know you,
I will not forget what it means to know who you are,
I thought about it and I’m glad I see how great you are,
I will share you with those near and far so we can share together the peace of knowing you.
My prayer is sealed and delivered. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Today’s Scripture:
Psalm 51: 1-12 CEB | Common English Bible
Have mercy on me, God, according to your faithful love!
Wipe away my wrongdoings according to your great compassion!
2 Wash me completely clean of my guilt;
purify me from my sin!
3 Because I know my wrongdoings,
my sin is always right in front of me.
4 I’ve sinned against you—you alone.
I’ve committed evil in your sight.
That’s why you are justified when you render your verdict,
completely correct when you issue your judgment.
5 Yes, I was born in guilt, in sin,
from the moment my mother conceived me.
6 And yes, you want truth in the most hidden places;
you teach me wisdom in the most secret space.[a]
7 Purify me with hyssop and I will be clean;
wash me and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and celebration again;
let the bones you crushed rejoice once more.
9 Hide your face from my sins;
wipe away all my guilty deeds!
10 Create a clean heart for me, God;
put a new, faithful spirit deep inside me!
11 Please don’t throw me out of your presence;
please don’t take your holy spirit away from me.
12 Return the joy of your salvation to me
and sustain me with a willing spirit.
