I am not afraid to admit that I need to grow in Christ. I realize that in order to truly be “Christian,” I must be willing to allow Jesus to pour into my Spirit, giving me “spiritual milk.” So many times we are distressed, depressed, strained, constrained, locked up in our issues that we do not allow Jesus to feed us while we are going through things in life that seem to be oppressing us; weighing us down with the feeling of hopelessness.
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Church of Corinth to urge them to put aside their sinful nature and allow Jesus Christ to fill that space. I get so caught up in the problems I face that I do not allow opportunity for Jesus to come rescue me because I forget to PRAISE! Jesus loves our praise and it is a language that the enemy cannot understand.
I urge you, as I am urging myself, to stop and PRAISE in the middle of the storm I am facing…the winds blow so hard sometimes in our lives, that we are consumed by the problem and thus we take our eyes off the Holy Spirit that lives in the soul of the Christian. PRAISE opens the door to God’s helpdesk. PRAISE causes one to consider how awesome and wonderful Jesus has been to us.
It is proven, if God brought me out the last storm, He WILL surely show up and work out the storm I am in, now. Open the gate of your depressed, broken down, heart with PRAISE to Our God in spite of the problem, we do know the PROBLEM-SOLVER, Jesus The Christ.
PRAISE! Let us acknowledge our sins and pray God’s forgiveness. Let us crave the nurturing of The Holy Spirit that leads us into The Truth. We are heirs with Jesus Christ. Just because your breakthrough hasn’t happened yet…PRAISE anyways! Watch and Wait because He will come to your rescue. We can’t and will not stay the same if we allow Jesus to mature us in Him. We have to grow up in Christ and stop letting the enemy control how we feel when we are going through stuff!
Today’s Scriptures:
Psalm 90:17 English Standard Version “Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!”
1 Corinthians 3:2-3 New International Version “Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?”
